£45,000 - £60,000 + Profit Share (OTE £60,000 - £80,000)

Hours: Monday - Thursday (Peak Period 7am - 6pm / Off Peak 7am - 4pm)

We have an amazing opportunity that has become available with one of our leading Trade Distributor clients who are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead their brand new distribution hub team in Leeds.

 The role is to lead a team of managers in overseeing the efficient operation of their warehouse facility, running the daily operations of the warehouse including Goods Inwards and the Transport team who supply a number of other national and independent customers.

Responsibilities:
- Lead warehouse team, providing guidance and support for daily tasks.
- Monitor profit and loss statements to ensure cost-effective warehouse management.
- Utilise Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Oversee transportation management systems to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain high standards of Health and Safety compliance ensuring that safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse are met.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.

The successful candidate must have the following:
- 5 years proven track record in warehouse management within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to multi task.
- Manage budgets and control costs against the business plan to maximise efficiencies.
- Ability to analyse profit and loss statements to drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Able to work autonomously and empower your team to take ownership of their areas. - Create a culture of continuous improvement and Health and Safety focus through colleague engagement.
