This exciting London centric Kitchen Contact business has assembled a dynamic team with significant experience in the UK Kitchen Contract market, having worked on some of the country’s most high-profile developments. Their experience positions them at the forefront of the market, working closely with architects, designers, developers, house builders and modular providers to deliver high quality fitted furniture with exceptional service at all stages.
Due to an exciting period of growth and a solid plan in place for further expansion, they are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead the commercial activities of our kitchen manufacturing company. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, and maximize market share. You will oversee the sales function, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the kitchen contract sector, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a competitive market. You will also sit on the board to come up with and execute strategy as well as influence and collaborate with other members of the senior leadership team in order to shape the direction of the business.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
Provide strong leadership and direction to the sales, marketing, and business development functions.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand the company's customer base.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with the product development team to ensure the product portfolio meets customer requirements and remains competitive in the market.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key head office colleagues, customers, architects, designers, and contractors.
Lead pricing strategies, negotiations, and contract management to maximize profitability and maintain healthy margins.
Develop and implement effective sales and marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Drive the development and implementation of CRM systems and processes to improve customer relationship management and maximize sales effectiveness.
Analyse sales performance data, market research, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous sales growth.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to the executive team.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical business practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar senior leadership role within the kitchen manufacturing / contracts industry.
In-depth knowledge of the kitchen manufacturing industry, market dynamics, and trends. Strong business acumen and a track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies. Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and delivering business objectives. Familiarity with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and reporting tools.
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to integrity in business practices.
