With an expansive, 55,000 sq ft head office and distribution warehouse in the North West of England and 75 showrooms nationwide, they have an exciting expansion plan to reach 200 retail showrooms by 2026. This world class kitchen manufacturer & retailer delivers a seamless service from kitchen design concept to installation and aftercare to retail customers and house builders nationwide.
Due to an exciting period of growth and a solid plan in place for further expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Central Operations Manager to oversee head office efficiencies and ensure seamless operational processes within our stores.
The Retail Head of Central Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational processes and efficiency of this exciting high growth business. This senior leadership role requires strategic thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of operations professionals. The primary goal is to ensure smooth operations, maximize productivity, and enhance the customer experience across our retail store portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of operations managers, supervisors, and support staff. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, and demand forecasting to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all retail operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, and implement safety protocols to protect employees and customers.
Technology Integration: Leverage technology solutions to streamline operations, including inventory management systems, point-of-sale systems, and other relevant software.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and finance, to align operational efforts with broader organizational strategies.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, including supply chain disruptions and security issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail operations management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for operations management.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Leadership and team management experience.
Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices.
