An exciting and progressive opportunity has recently been created for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their talented team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales / Business Development roles and a proven track record in achieving ambitious company targets. As the Business Development Manager for the South, you will lead account development / acquisition / relationships and service as well as driving sales strategies and initiatives to support the company’s expansion.
Responsibilities:
Drive new business activity by pursuing new business opportunities within the industry.
Build and nurture relationships with new customers by listening to their needs and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.
Generate leads and schedule appointments with prospects.
Manage CRM software and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
Persistently follow up with prospects via phone and email to close out new business opportunities.
Ensure KPIs and sales targets are met and exceeded by collaborating with the rest of the sales team.
Skills Needed:
Proven experience in a business development role, preferably within the KBB or furniture industry.
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
A proactive and persistent approach to driving business development.
A consistent focus on closing new deals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team if working on larger opportunities.
Confidence in talking to clients over the phone and maintaining professional communication.
Ability to effectively use CRM software for managing client relationships and sales pipelines.
Confident working with IT systems; a strong knowledge of Excel is a must-have.
